'Amanda Donaldson is a former employee of Eldorado Chiropractic, a “Christ-oriented office,” in McKinney, Texas. Her claim is that upon her employer’s discovery that she is an atheist he became discontent and immediately displayed animosity toward having an atheist working within his business. Soon after this information came to light Amanda had to take time off from work due to breast cancer surgery and rehabilitation. She further claims that on her first day back to work she was fired and the main cause behind it was her lack of belief.'

One thing pops in my mind when i read the article which is... what if this exact situation happened because someone was gay / black / (insert minority here)

Just because we choose to think that there is no God, should we be fired from our jobs and shunned? This is a civil liberties issue and freedom of thought issue... i don't even know where to begin ranting

I was mistaken

2 posts back i ranted on about how wonderful Zeitgeist movement was because it negated religion, nations etc etc. I'd like to say that i still think those distinctions arent useful any more on the XXI century, and that our progress depends on changing our perspective on those things

So i went off and read 2 pdfs which you can download from the site:

Ok in a nutshell, what the 'leader' of the movement wants to do is.

Remove law
Remove currency 'A Resource-Based Economy utilizes existing resources rather than commerce. All goods and services are available without the use of currency, credit, barter or any form of debt or servitude.'
Eliminate democracy 'In a Resource-Based Economy, people do not make decisions; they arrive at them through the use of advanced technological tools that incorporate The Scientific Method.'
Create some kind of science fiction world where decisions are made by machines 'The delegation of decision making to computers is the next step.'

So... what pisses me off is that they tap into genuíne concerns which have a real basis to propel this kind of idealistic, fairytale agenda. I feel like i've been fooled by a pseudo-communist sect that insults everything i believe in.
